Domaine Pieretti Coteaux du Cap Corse Rouge 2017 0426JACKSON This timeless Madeira blend ofOut on the wild, windswept Cap Corse, Lina Pieretti farms a few hectares of vines planted by the sea amid Corsican maquis, on clay and schist soils that catch the salt off the Mediterranean. This Coteaux du Cap Corse red leans on Corsica's indigenous grapes, including the Grenache like Alicante, and tastes like the place: red fruit and wild herbs threaded with white pepper and a saline, mineral lift. The 2017 has settled into a savory, mature groove.
