Vincent Girardin, Bienvenues Batard Montrachet Size:6x750ml The 2009 Extra Brut Blanc

The 2009 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Vénus is sublime

An attractive green fern-like quality and real finesse and balance

The 2013 Cartology Bush Vines has a very precise bouquet that demands a little coaxing from the glass

Here the wood treatment is less subtle though it does not overshadow the more elegant and slightly cooler nose of spice

Vincent Girardin, Bienvenues Batard Montrachet Size:6x750ml The 2009 Extra Brut BlancDiscreet wood frames honeysuckle and white flower aromas and continues onto the rich, full and quite (naturally) sweet medium bodied flavors that are both classy and stylish and wrapped in a forward, accessible and round finish that offers admirable length. Still, as good as this is, it seems almost flat after the impressive punch and drive of the Quintessence. 92 2009+
