Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition 152th Royal Troon Single Malt Scotch Whisky Chardonnay Barrel Finished champagne-club Base distillate made from neutralA single malt finished in Chardonnay barrels, which is rarer than it sounds. Loch Lomond puts out one of these every year for The Open, and this is the Royal Troon bottling: master blender Michael Henry married four different malts, matured them first in American oak, then moved the whole thing into first fill Chardonnay wine barrels.
