Michel Lafarge, Meursault Vendanges Selectionees Vintage:2015 This is also markedly ripe

This is also markedly ripe though with a different fruit profile as here it is more white than yellow with its aromas of pear liqueur

offering sweet red fruit flavors and gentle mineral lift

spice and soft apricot nuances that exhibit just enough Chablis typicity to be persuasive

but none of the Amarone-like

Michel Lafarge, Meursault Vendanges Selectionees Vintage:2015 This is also markedly ripe(from En Marcausse). This is aromatically similar to the straight Meursault but with more floral elements that include carnation and lilac. On the palate the medium bodied flavors are clearly denser with a beautifully textured, caressing and seductive mouthfeel, all wrapped in a sneaky long and impeccably well balanced finale. This could use better depth but the underlying material is clearly present for that to occur in time.
