Alla Proof and Tralles Hydrometer Extracts stony clay and LimestoneThis Alla Proof and Tralles Hydrometer is a professional grade hydrometer that has a scale that goes to 200 proof. It is used to calculate proof in higher alcoholic beverages as it is not accurate for lower alcohol products like beer or wine. Similar in use to a brewing hydrometer, but assumes no sugar is in the solution. You must float in a sample to obtain a reading. This measuring tool is also sometimes referred to as an alcometer or alcoholmeter.
