one of the finest wines produced by any of Champagne's important houses in the last two or three decadesis the 2008 Cristal Rosé

This is a dazzling effort

The lilting and lacy medium weight flavors possess a refined mouth feel on the mineral-driven flavors that are almost delicate while terminating in a restrained and lingering finish

Elio Grasso, Barolo Gavarini Chiniera other_regions or pop a cork ifThe 2013 Barolo Gavarini Chiniera is much showier than the Ginestra Casa Mat. An ample, resonant Barolo, the Gavarini Chiniera exudes richness from the get go. Macerated cherry, kirsch, wild flowers and mint are some of the many notes that are laced together. Ripe, silky tannins add to the wine's considerable raciness. I am somewhat surprised by how well this gorgeous wine is showing today. Antonio Galloni
