Purple Hands Dundee Hills Reserve Chardonnay 2023 CRV5 roughly half of it newCody Wright (son of Ken Wright) launched Purple Hands in 2005 (later joined by his wife Marque), and the Reserve Chardonnay is a Dundee Hills reserve selection sourced from blocks of the estate Haakon Lenai vineyard in the Dundee Hills, planted in the red Jory volcanic soils that define the area. Dry farmed and organically tended, the wine is built for tension rather than richness: bright citrus and orchard fruit, a stony mineral spine and judicious
